i'm not really a film person but as a normal human being i wanna consume and think about art. watching films is also something you can do with your friends and stuff, plus im not the most talkative so it's nice to have an activity where not talking is normal.
it was a fine movie to watch while chilling casually at a friends place. i don't really consider myself too interested in older hip hop so a lot of the content in this was new to me. it was pretty cool to see familiar names pop up and intersect with eachother, especially towards the end with tupac, snoop, kendrick. i've never listened to an N.W.A record and wouldn't really watch this on my own but i do think musician related biographical films are pretty cool and this story in particular was interesting to see. prob more important to the culture than as a film watching experience.
i haven't watched any of the anime except for maybe one ep that my friend showed me but i did
end up reading til like chapter 39 to get caught up until this part. my friend said it'd be worth
to not read the chapters that cover this so i went into the movie blank without knowing what happens,
the first time for this type of movie (i finished reading demon slayer before infinity castle)
it actually feels like a proper movie compared to the demon slayer one. soundtrack, pacing, camera angles, i even
enjoyed the voice acting even tho i watched the dub
pretty cool and interesting, and prob fine even if you haven't consumed any chainsaw man
